About the Owner
87 Oaks is owned and operated by Cody Smith. Like many other folks during the COVID-19 pandemic, Cody took up woodworking as a hobby. However, unlike many others, Cody has stuck with it and turned it into a thriving business.
Cody is dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind custom furniture to fit customer’s needs, as well as the spacing and design of their homes.
A navy veteran, Cody served from 2008 to 2014 as a P-3C Flight Engineer. Cody served three combat tours in Asia and the Middle East. After his time in the military, Cody went on to get his Bachelor’s in Aeronautic Science from the University of North Dakota. Today, he flies as a commercial pilot.
Cody lives with his fiance Brooke and their bloodhound Louie in Crookston, Minnesota.
